Club History
University of Wollongong Rugby Club was founded in 1962. In 1981 it was amalgamated with Wollongong Teachers College when that institution became part of the University of Wollongong.
The Mallee Bulls have achieved much over the years. Australian Representative players have been Peter Sullivan (15 tests 1971 to 1974), Peter Rowles (two tests 1972 and 1974), John Lambie (four tests 1974 to 1976), and Mark Giacherri (Australian under 21 in 1991 and Italy in 1994).
